Hi ya Everyone,
Thank you all for your support and feedback in helping me make my
intiation into electronics and the BASIC Stamp.
Recently I made my first BS2 project and wrote my first program. I
figured when I finally ran my first program my enthusiasms would be
dulled by all the interim complications, research, and delayed
gratification. Not so! The thrill of the digital world via a
microcontroller was there in full force when my four LEDs flashed
according to plan. What cool technology!
(Clearing of throat)
To get here I had to invest in many subsidiary expenses, DMM, Soldering
station, tools, computer, components, books, and a buch of other stuff
leading to a future solenoid project, which was the impetuous for the
Stamp in the first place. At this point I'm in for about $1,200.
If anyone would like plans for the $1,200 four LED "Mrs. Blinky
Allegorical Light Series: Hemoraging Money" Project, e-mail me off list
for parts list and code.
Cheers,
-Neal

trains using a BSII. In addition to what you spent, I went out and
bought a 900 mghz processor with 384 mgabite RAM, and a Thin screen
monitor to boot. I won't mention what that cost me! That was all in
the last ten months and I still haven't started the project yet.
However, I have learned to use the net and I do enjoy this group.
Don't worry, when I get around to my project you'll get to know me
much, much better. DaveT
