I would like to use the stamp to create a programmable ignition system. I
would like the system to work with the magentic pickup
(CAS Crankangle sensor within the distributor.

The distributor is made of a rotor with four notches each not
has three teeth on it. Each teeth represent 6,61 and 91 degrees before to
dead center respectivley. A six degree position to another six degree
position will require the crank shaft to turn 180 degress or 90 degress on
the camshaft.

I would like to start a counter counting down to zero once top dead centre
is reached. However, How do I tell which pulse represents the
top dead centre pulse.

I am considering counting the duration between the pulses. The biggest
count should be between 91btdc and 6Btdc. By using three pulse in commands I
can determine which pulse represented the 91 btdc to6btdc pulse( Leaving the
last teeth on the current notch and moving to the first teeth on the next
notch).

Once i know which count represents the start of top dead centre. It Could be
the first pulse, second or third. I can perform other pulsin
triggering the counter at the end of the largest count whic I know know from
the previous pulse ins.

The voltage from the sensor is an alternating current whose zero value
occours when one of the teeeth is in aligment with the CAS sensor. When the
tooth is approaching the sensor the voltage is positve. When it is moving
away it is negative.

What can I do to shape the pulses so that the pulsin command can read them.
