Who makes an 32.768 kHz oscillator on a chip? Supposedly Epson makes a
SG-3032JC but I can't find anyplace I can buy it.

    Hi Jay,

Cititzen, CTS Reeves and ECS Inc. manufacturer 32.768 kHz oscillators
on a chip. Digi-Key stocks all of them. From the main page, do a
search for 32.768. You'll get a page with matches and you can apply
filters to narrow your search. Epson also make surface mount crystals
in 32.768 kHz (this will be on the same page as the oscillators).
When I checked, they didn't have the part you are looking for,
however. (We are using an MC-306 package on a new design which may be
an acceptable substitute for your part).

    Good luck!

Dallas Semiconductor makes a temperature compensated 32.768 Khz oscillator
for use with time keeping chips. Runs about $5 in single quantities.

    part # DS32Khz
