Electronic Speed Control Help!

Greetings list,

I have bought an Electronic Speed Control and hooked it up to my basic
stamp. It is essentially going to run two electric motors on a monster
truck.

I am trying to give it a pulsout to the pin number, but it is not responding
like a regular servo.

Does anyone have any suggestions?

Karl

Some (most) speed controls use an opto-isolator in the inputs that
requires low impiedance driving. Check with a scope to see the level of
the pulse when connected. Use a buffer voltage follower to drive if
    needed.

Might try setting the pin low, then doing the pulsout.

Do you have the correct pulse train?
You need continually repeating pulses between about 1 and 2 ms, every
20 ms... although the spacing isn't too critical.
