These are actually larger 10-amp per contact relays. We switched fueling
equipment on and off with them. They had 110-volt coils and were driven with
a triac and an opto-isolator. You could probably find 12-volt or 5-volt
models as well and drive them directly with a transistor.
You may be thinking about the smaller clear DIP relays you find at Radio
Shack.
