BOE & Servo problem SOLVED (partially)

Well, I just got it working, kind of.
It works fine in sockets #13 and #14 on the Board of Education,
(the two inner servo sockets). But it doesn't work in sockets #12
and #15, the outer of the four sockets.
What's even stranger is that the servo gets stuck and shudders
in one position on both, but in OPPOSITE directions. In other
words, it goes hard say clockwise when plugged into #12, and
hard counter-clockwise when plugged into #15.
Whassup wid dat? Any ideas? A funky BOE, or am I doing
something wrong? I don't see any obvious mistakes in the code.
Thanks!

to the stop and shuddered. My fix was to run everything off one 5-volt,
1-amp regulator with a couple of filter caps.
