Through Thursday (April 19th) at 4:00 p.m. Parallax offers $10 off our OEM
BASIC Stamp 2 modules when purchased on-line at www.parallaxinc.com. This is
a $10 savings from the regular $59 price. The OEM BASIC Stamp II is a
through-hole version of the popular BASIC Stamp II 24-pin DIP module. This
promotion is for the assembled format and includes the PBASIC interpreter,
EEPROM, resonator, DB-9, and all the resistors and transistors that form a
complete BASIC Stamp 2. Presented in a 20-pin SIP module format with
standard 0.1” spacing. PBASIC interpreter and EEPROM are socketed to allow
for easy replacement.
This is a fully functional BASIC Stamp II, programmed using our PBASIC DOS
or Windows Editor just like the BS2-IC module. You'll need to provide a
serial cable, breadboard, and power supply. This is an inexpensive way to
use BASIC Stamps -- especially if you don't mind the slightly larger size of
the module. With the DB-9 built right onto the module it is almost like a
combined Board of Education / BS2 at a low price that can be fixed easily
with socketed parts.
