Mapping Dinsmore 1490

Hello,
Has anyone worked out a program, like in Visual Basic or something,
that creates an approximate map of where a robot is going if it has a
1490 dinsmore compass attached to it? If you know the speed of the
robot, is this not possible? The data from the compass would go
through the BS2 and then be read by the program and a line would be
drawn. Possible?
