HI,
I am trying to hook up some switches to a 74HC165 8 LIne Parallel to Sereial chip.· Does anybody have a schematic and code.· I tried something (see attached), but all I get is either 255 or 0 output.
I have the Sh/Ld pin on P0
Clock pin on P1
Qh pin on P2
Any help would be gratly appreciated

Where are you trying to hook up your switches?·
I also don't recall a Qh pin, but do recall· Q0 thru Q7.·
Both data inputs have to be tied together or the unused one tied high.· How do you have yours hooked up?
