Hi everyone,
What does it mean if this error message comes up when trying to
download to the stamp...keep in mind I tried many different batteries
and used fresh 9 volts:
BASIC Stamp II found but is not responding.
Check power supply
Followed sometimes by:
Cannot open port.
Reason unknown.

It's been a long time since I have used a stamp, but I seem to remember
an error similar to that when I would attempt to program a stamp, while
the previous stamp code used serout extensively (16 only not 0-15).

Unfortunately, the solution in this case seemed to be pressing ALT-R
repetitively until the program would take.
Note: This could be a side effect from the ATN modification using two
.1uF capacitors as an automatic switch.
...Try taking the ATN pin on the stamp (#3 I think?) directly to
+5V if the above may be the case.
