[font=arial, helvetica]I am new to the "stamp" and robot world and know absolutly nothing about
programing anything. ·But, I am designing a wheelchair and need to control
the speed of 2 motors. ·The motors have their own controllers, but i have to
tell them what speed to run. ·it will be controlled with a joystick and I
need to be able to adjust the following:
Acceleration - rate of acceleration
Deceleration - rate of deceleration
Max Forward Speed
Max Reverse Speed
Max Turning Speed
Max Turning Acceleration - sensitivity of joystick
Max Turning Deceleration - sensitivity of joystick
Joystick Throw - how far the joystick has to be moved for the max speeds
I realize that it a lot of stuff and it will take me a long time to learn how
to do it. ·What is the best way to learn to program something like this?
Also, if someone out there thinks they can program this for a reasonable
price, contact me and we can discuss it. ·I cannot promise that I will hire
someone, even if they know what they are doing, but it is a possibility.
thanks

Rene,
If you go here:
http://www.parallax.com/html_pages/downloads/software/software_basic_s
tamp.asp
Look about two-thirds down the page and you will see:
"StampDAQ Real-Time Data Acquisition for Microsoft Excel provides
spreadsheet-based real-time data acquisition through this Excel add-
in program which provides a BASIC Stamp interface to the serial
port. Note: Office/Excel 2000 or higher is required."
You can download the StampDAQ file. It contains codes examples. It
is very straigh-forward to use and is a fantastic add-on to your
basket of Stamp goodies.
Good luck.
