I just recently purchased a Radio Shack ProbeScope for $79 from the RS
website.

Here are a link to the RS site:
http://support.tandy.com/support_meters/33352.htm

This is the same product as the Wittig osziFOX:
http://www.wittig-technologies.com/

For me, as a hobbyist, this is a great scope. The DMM functions aren't
very good, but that's why I have a dedicated DMM :)

The fact that there is software for DOS, Win3.1/95/98/NT, and Linux make
this scope very versatile!

Just note: On my ProbeScope there is a 2ms sample rate, which is not
covered in the docs. The Wittig osziFOX software (as of version 5.00
English) reports the period and frequency off by a factor of 1000. If the
display reads 30KHz, you're really measuring at 30Hz. I've e-mailed
Wittig regarding this, but have received no response. The Linux
oscope/xoscope software (http://xoscope.sourceforge.net) does not have
this bug (feature?) :)

I've also been using one of these for a few years, and it makes a handy
extra channel, that while I can't sync it with my bench scope, it is on it's
own ground. Well worth the $$. Just make sure it's fast enough for what you
want to trace.

Just had a thought for a possible Stamp project. Dataqoffers
a fifteen buck data acquisition module with a RS232 interface
plug. Might we not plug it into a Stamp equipped with an LCD
display and create our own Pocket O-scope?

See<http://www.dataq.com/>for details on the DI194 data
acquisition module.

What about it guys, what features would you want in such a
system?
