Mike-
Home Depot normally carries good selection of RJ-11 sockets, plugs,
Cat 5 wire, etc. Also good for 1-Wire bus projects with the BS2p.

from my pc to breadboards, bots, etc., but haven't found any rj-11
female connections. Its easy to find the male parts to crimp on wires,
but not the female sockets.
Does anyone have any ideas where to find the female connectors?
Mike
supplies. CAT5 type stuff... They'll have the RJ-11 parts too. If you find
a place that sells the female sockets that can be soldered to a PC
board...please let me know. I've thought about unsoldering them from old
network cards and modems...

wind up plugging something in that doesn't belong. I've seen this happen
time and time again when someone uses parts that come to hand.
In this case it might be a bad thing if someone plugged your stuff into a
live phone jack, which can carry anywhere from about 45 volts DC to 90 volts
AC.

at the base that can be easy breadboarded or soldered even. I'm not
sure if you have these stores up in your area.
But, also on a side note, I'm using male plug in my minature robot
and a female connector from teh computer's serial cable. Please see
my site at http://nagi.crosscity.com/basicstamp/alibe.
