BS2p with board of education

I just got the new BS2p 24 pin Stamp and wrote a code to read a 1-Wire
bus id. However when I placed the BS2p into the Board of Education
programmer, it said "error Hardware not found". The Board of Education
programmer seems to work just fine with my BS2 stamp, but keeps giving
me that error message for my BS2p stamp. What could be the problem? Is
the Board of Education programmer not meant to work with the BS2p? I
need help!

Sincerely,

Jelani Givner

Silly question, but are you using older BS2 software? You need a version of
the Stamp editor that supports the BS2P.

Yeah, I'm using the Stamp2p.exe dos file (which came on a disk with the BS2p
stamp) to compile my BS2p program. I actually took an old BS2 program and
changed the suffix to .b2p. After that the program was visible and loadable to
the BS2p programmer. Yet when I try to compile my program, I still get the
    "error hardware not found" message.

While I believe that Al is perfectly able to defend himself,
might I comment that it's your misunderstanding of the English
language that is the problem here.

Al was merely saying "I realize that you have probably already
thought of this, but....." It was not intended as an insult at all.

Al Williams is probably the most helpful individual on this
list, and one of the most knowledgeable. Please be nice to the
gurus - they are the ones that help out us all.

...or maybe he needs to change the header in the program to reflect a BS2p?

No, no, no... I meant, "I have a silly question..." I hate to ask an obvious
question like that, so I prefaced it with "Silly question...." which is
idiomatic English. Kind of like when someone says, "This really isn't my
business, but..." that means they are about to poke their nose into your
business :-) When I say, Silly question, it means "I'm sure you've already
thought about this, but I'm going to ask it anyway."

Please, don't take offense! Just a misunderstanding of words (and me a
    supposed word smith).

    Sorry for the misunderstanding.

im a novice and am in the process of constructing my first BS2sx and
wanted to know wat the advantages are of the BS2p and if its even
worth it...also, wat does the 1-Wire bus id actually allow you to do?
are there schematics and a manual i might be able to get or do u think
its too difficult to construct with a soldering iron etc.? any
feedback would be appreciated from anybody? thanx allot...
