Newbie Confused. NEED''s Help on Basic Stamp and 8052 confusion

Before you make up your mind about which system to be using, why don't you
check out the BasicX processor. The compiler has some of the features you
are looking for and it is pin compatable with the stamp. Like all micro
systems, it has it's limitations, but it is a bit more powerful then the
stamp. Have a look at:

I have switched to the BX24 from the StampII and find it very powerful.
