BS2 Interface w/ Voice Direct 364 from Sensory

Has anyone done voice recognition using the Voice Direct 364 from Sensory?
My friend and I are just getting started with Stamps, and have some
questions
as to the best way to send it commands. The documentation says that it uses
three wires ( Host, Slave, and Data ). It makes reference to using Shift
Registers;
but does not specificly mention anything in regards to the BS2.
Can we use SERIN and SEROUT instead of the SHIFTIN and SHIFTOUT commands?
Any help would be appreciated.

Voice Direct Module with a BS2.
I know I would like to try to add a Voice Direct module to my Hexapod I'm
building. I'm not sure how feasible that would be. I haven't really looked at it
in detail but it would be nice to be able to give it voice commands to turn
left, turn right, speak (play a sound). The first thing that comes to my mind as
a "show stopper" is the noise my servos will make.
This would probably make it impossible for a walking robot to use a Voice Direct
module. Any thoughts?

of the servos. Another option would be to transmit the voice
commands to the robot instead of using a microphone mounted on the
robot.
