seem to get past the hardware not found message with my new Stamp2.
I have tried three different computers, new batteries, mode commands,
etc., etc. Can someone help? I am using the BS2 with the DOS based
stamp2.exe software. I am running it in the DOS mode of Windows 95
(afer rebooting into full screen DOS.) I used fresh batteries, and
tested then at about 8.5 volts. I used the serial cable that came
with my starter kit. I used the board of education that came with the
starter kit, and installed the BS2 on the board as per the
instructions--with the big IC away from the reset button. I believe
I am using the correct software for the Stamp2. Do I have to do
something to turn the com port "on" in DOS mode or do I need to
configure the communications (I tried mode 24,n,8,1 and variation to
no avail). What am I missing?
