Strange initial startup on PAK
Archiver

Hello,
I have been sorting out what could be the error that has resulted a
series of pulses generating whenever I turn on the processor.
This series of pulses appears very sudden and on at about 2.5ms and
off close interval each. After which everything stablized down to
what the program is sending.
It has damaged some of my servo when initializing as they are not
meant to rotate continously.
Thanks

I'm assuming you mean the PAK-VIII.
When the PAK first starts up, its pins are in a Hi-Z state, however, this
condition is very short-lived. The Stamp also starts with all of its pins in
a hi-z state and this condition lasts (relatively) much longer. Is it
possible that the data/clock lines are picking up noise at start up and
sending spurious commands to the PAK? Perhaps a 10K pull up resistor on each
line might help (you probably already have a pull up on the data line).
If you'd like to send me your code privately, I'll look and see if I can
find a reason for this. The PAK does not chatter on start up, so it has to
be either some hardware aberration or a problem with the driving software.
