Floppy Drive for the Stamp
Archiver

Hi all, I am currently trying to negotiate a deal with a overseas
company to purchas a interface that would alow the Basic Stamp
controller's serial port to read and write PC compatible PCMCIA,
Compact FLASH, and Hard Drives.
Reading and writing is accomplished via simple user friendly ASCII
commands. These are easy to produce from a standard comm terminal for
debugging and can be efficiently sent from small microcontrollers
that have limited memory. Only 3 commands are needed: INIT, READ,
and WRITE.
the units in quantity cost about 90.00 us
I need about 25 people
If your interested please respond.
thanks

25 people or 25 units? I'm interested & would probably buy 2 or 3.
Do you have any more specs? There is a system in Circuit Cellar:
http://www.star.net/people/~MVS/
for US$95 for 1 & US$27 if you can buy 1000! The only reason I haven't
bought from them is they don't have an email address & only have a P.O.
box address as well as no credit card payments - sounds risky unless
someone else has dealt with them before.
