Parallax friends:

Parallax is offering two web specials for on-line orders placed between
today and Sunday (February 4th, midnight PST) through www.parallaxinc.com:

(a) BASIC Stamp 2 OEM Kits -- $30 ($15 off reg. $45)
(b) Pak VI Keyboard Coprocessor -- $15 ($14 off reg. $29)

(a) BASIC Stamp 2 OEM Kit - $30! (reg. $45) - 435 in stock!
===============================================

The OEM BASIC Stamp II is a through-hole version of the popular BASIC Stamp
II module. This module is sold in kit form and includes the PBASIC
interpreter, EEPROM, resonator, DB-9, and all the resistors and transistors
needed to build a BASIC Stamp II. Presented in a 20-pin SIP module format
with standard 0.1” spacing. PBASIC interpreter and EEPROM are socketed to
allow for easy replacement. This is a fully functional BASIC Stamp II,
programmed using our PBASIC DOS or Windows Editor just like the BS2-IC
module. You'll need to provide a serial cable, breadboard, and power supply.
This is an inexpensive way to use BASIC Stamps, especially if you don't mind
the slightly larger size of the module. Requires an hour or two to solder
together. Save $15 by ordering this weekend at www.parallaxinc.com.

(b) Pak VI Keyboard Coprocessor - $15! (reg $29) - 41 in stock!
===============================================

Al Williams PAK-VI Keyboard Coprocessor lets you connect a standard PS/2
keyboard via two pins to your BASIC Stamp. The PAK-VI sends regular ACSII
characters via an RS232 connection (including single-byte ASCII codes for
special keys). May also be interfaced to a PS/2 mouse to provide a highly
accurate X/Y position. Some ideas for this product are to use it as a
numeric keypad for data entry, a wireless keyboard to control a robot, or to
track analog values. Includes the 18-pin PAK-VI, a 50 MHz resonator, and
documentation. Detailed data is available from Al's site at
http://www.al-williams.com/awce/pak6.htm and the product may be purchased
from www.parallaxinc.com.

Have an excellent weekend and enjoy your special projects!

Sincerely,

Ken Gracey and the entire team at Parallax
