Home Phone Network Interface?

I'm looking at the TDK 78Q2132 1/10Base-T HomePNA
transceiver and wondering if anyone has interfaced this
(or similar HomePNA chipsets) to the BS1/2?

I'd like to build a Lawn Sprinkler controller that I can
talk to from my PC - via the Home Phoneline Network
protocol.
Thoughts?
