I just built something last night which I thought might be of some
interest to the group.
Basically, I have a laser diode / photoresistor pair ; they're pointing at
each other. When the laser diode is broken, the photocell goes high ; the
stamp program at this point generates a midi down event over a midi DIN
jack on the board. When a high to low transition occurs, it generates a
similar midi up event.
It's minimal now, but basically what this ends up being is a "light" midi
controller, where the playing of invisible strings generates midi events.
I now need to build a larger version. [noparse]:)[/noparse]
