basic stamp 2 question...

the output from the stamp, is it usually simply 5V or 0V
and the max input current is 20mA and the max output current is about the same
20 or 25mA right?
will it work if i send my signals through a current limiting diode before
i send them to the stamp so the stamp might only receive 2mA of current, is
that okay?

LaQuida,
If you are talking about stamp inputs, you need to turn the current
into a voltage between 0 and 5 volts. Don't put more than a few
microamps into the stamp inputs. What is the signal coming from?

Did not realize they had "current-limiting" diodes. A standard diode limits
the voltage correct?
