Teaching Interface

Dear colleagues,
························ would anyone be interested in a Universal (well, almost) Stamp Interface?.
I have designed a Stamp1 interface which allows you to input both digital and analog signals, and output to most on/off and reversing outputs. The interface is primarily for teaching purposes, and I have used it with children aged between 10 and 18. It would also be useful to anyone who wishes to use the Stamp in a practical situation. The uses I have employed the Stamp to control can be found on my web site-······ controlmodels.co.uk
A description of the interface would be -
The eight pins of the Stamp are taken to a set of eight slide switches. If the switch is set up, then that pin is an input - if set at down, then that pin is an output.
A further set of eight slide switches on the input side allow either digital inputs if set to the left, and analog inputs if set to the right.
A third set of slide switches on the output side allow either straight on/off outputs if set to the left, or reversing outputs if set to the right.
Should anyone show an interest then please e-mail me and I can give them a picture of the interface, a PCB diagram, and a component list.

    Alan,

What I received was a clipboard viewer executable, but when opened, there
was no content (i.e., no schematic).

I have attached a schematic of an interface that may be of interest to
teachers and beginners. If you require further details e.g. PCBs,
    components, etc, then e-mail me.
I will post a picture of the interface later this week.
The schematic is a clipboard file.

    All those interested,
I have put the Stamp Teaching Interface
schematic in a bitmap file, if you could not read the last one.
If I can get my digital camera to work, I will put up a picture of it
    tomorrow.
The only other things I can supply you with are a PCB design, but the
components are sourced in the UK.
Of course, I can supply you with models to control at
    controlmodels.co.uk
but they cost money - all this info is for free.
If you are interested, then please keep in touch.

    Alan,

It looks interesting. Would you send me a PCB layout and components list?

    Thanks for information.

    Alan,
thanks for that File Schemati.bmp, was great. I like such attachments to
have detailed informations from mails. But ... BMP - formated, it is a lot
of file-lengths, needed time, capacity in net in the whole world... and
money (Germany). Sorry, I have an older device for analog connection with
    56k modem.
With opening in a picture-viewer I recogniced for 413*423 Pixel in Color 24
    bit.
Only one color used (black). So with color-reduction and compressing to
*.GIF the length is changed from 531 MB to 7.2 MB. I see the same scheme
    with
this. Means 1.35 percent of length (time) ! Regards Klaus Zahnert

    Hi all,
I have attached a PCB diagram of the Teaching Interface - I don't
know if you will be able to view it ( my degree is in Mechanical
Engineering, not Computing or Electronics ). Let me know if you can't and
give me suggestions on how I can get it into a bmp.
I shall put up a component list later on in the week.
If you don't have access to making your own PCBs then it may be
possible for me to make some - I work as a teacher so have little time on
other topics. If you could just cover the cost - about 10UK pounds or 15US
    dollars.
