I've spend considerable time laying out a PCB for an MP3 decoder. I went to
see about having it made by the techs at the U of S. what I really need is
to be able to print out a negative (black is white, white is black) image,
or I can't have the board made. How can I do this? remember I need to keep
the scale 1 to 1. PLEASE help.

If you can write out Gerber files, some gerber editors will create
negatives. There are a few free demos out there.

Also a postscript file could probably be inverted fairly easily.

Ed - Winboard will produce a positive BW print scaled 1:1 through its Print
function. You could then do either 1) scan it into a photo-editing program
that allows reversing the BW image, or 2) have a negative film made by a
professional film shop that has a large-format, flat bed camera setup. I
    recommend the 2nd method.

    Ed,

Not sure who you use to produce your boards, but I have a place located in
Southern Ontario that does my boards for me, and can read the Gerber files
output by Winboard (that is what I use). They have a web site at
    www.precisioncircuitscanada.com
