Silly Servo Question Again?

Do all of the servos act like the ones from the stamp's web site? Do
they all get 1ms or 2ms timing pulses for position and do they retain
there position once put there by the timing pulse? I bought a servo
with more in/oz of torque, not from Parallax, but it does not seem to
behave the same as the ones purchased from Parallax. If the pulses
and position holding are different, where do I find the correct
timing pulses? Thanks..Dan P.s This one is an "EXPERT" servo model

sorts in the radio controlled hobbies.
I am familiar with the "Expert" brand servos and they are standard in their
pulse width. What does vary is the arrangement of the leads. It is not based
on the manufacturer of the servo, but on the brand of receiver they are
intended to connect to.

believe that the Futaba S-148 is different from the Tower Hobbies TS-75. I
have not been able to work with a Tower Hobbies TS-80, but Ray McArthur has
had several great insights on this. If your servo is like my TS-80, Ray's
insight is that these heavy-duty servos draw more current than the smaller
models. You need to make sure that your power supply is adequate. Also, Ray's
advice, like one of Moses' 10, make sure that your grounds are all connected.
All the best to you, Warren Sargent
The text of Ray's last message to me was as follows:
The small 9V battery will not have enough current available to run even a
standard servo, let alone the larger servos.
