Future of Stamps in Class?

Dear Customer,
Parallax has been operating the Stamps in Class program for two years now.
We've prepared a number of texts that are under continuous improvement and
revision based on your feedback. We've taught 800 instructors and started
another couple of hundred with our loaner hardware. Stamps in Class has
become a favorite part of our company and a real motivator for us.
With the program continuing to develop, we need input from you on where to
go next. Here is an abbreviated sample of what we have in the works that you
have requested:
(a) Improved Robotics experiments (encoders, new code, etc.)
(b) Instructions for using Nat Instrument's LabView with the BASIC Stamp
(c) Courses for educators, around the world
(d) Hopefully, a Mac interface for the Stamp
(e) Boe-Bot navigation system add-on
(f) Revisions to Industrial Control text
Where would you like us to go with this program? Would you like some
additional type of hardware we have not developed? How can we improve our
www.stampsinclass.com web site to meet your needs? What type of educational
texts would you like from us? Want a scholarship program? What about our
software? A contest? A book on sensors with a cheap parts kit? Tell us so we
can start making plans!
We are serious about your input. Tell us what you would like. Respond to
this list, or if you prefer directly to our educational team at
stampsinclass@p....
Sincerely,
Ken Gracey, Parallax
P.S. We are not forgetting the hobbiest or commercial user - many neat
products are planned for you too.

I think that, especially for your foreign customers, it should be interesting to
market
a "hard to find parts" kit:
IR receiver demodulator
Serial DA and AD converters
Serial thermometers and pressure meters
etc
We can get it but only in batches of 100 pc. or more.

ECO

This would be a great help. In addition how to interface with and control
mechanical/hydraulice devices from the Stamp would be useful.
