The OEM BASIC Stamp II is a through-hole version of the popular BASIC Stamp
II module. This module is assembled and includes the PBASIC interpreter,
EEPROM, resonator, DB-9, and all the resistors and transistors needed to
build a BASIC Stamp II. Presented in a 20-pin SIP module format with
standard 0.1” spacing. PBASIC interpreter and EEPROM are socketed to allow
for easy replacement. This is a fully functional BASIC Stamp II, programmed
using our PBASIC DOS or Windows Editor just like the BS2-IC module. You'll
need to provide a serial cable, breadboard, and power supply. This is an
inexpensive way to use BASIC Stamps, especially if you don't mind the
slightly larger size of the module.

The StampCI allows the BASIC Stamp to connect directly to industrial type
digital I/O control boards produced by Opto22, Grayhill, Allen-Bradley, and
others that accept 0 to 5VDC voltage control levels to switch 24-240 VDC/VAC
modules. This is a simple and safe way to control high-voltage. Accepts
BS1-IC, BS2-IC, BS2SX-IC and has a parallel port connection for monitoring
status of I/O pins. A 9-12 VDC, 2.1 mm jack is included for external power
supply. BASIC Stamp module not included. We also provide the Opto22 I/O
Control Board and modules separately if needed.
This is the OLD version of the Stamp CI. If you are interested in the new
version (shown in our printed 2001 Product Catalog), it will be available
for sale in February for the price of $139. The new version uses a ULN2003
Darlington for relay switching, whereas the current version relies on
sink/source capabilities of the BASIC Stamp module (limiting the total
number of relays under control).

Are there any limitations on the number of OPTO22 G4 Input Modules ?
I want to measure a number of 24VAC signals.
I understand that you can only control three Output Modules per STAMP
due to the sourcing/sinking issue.
