Does anyone on the list know of a stepper controller chip that can use the
i2c bus or the microline serial protocol?

    Hi Gene -

    The only serial stepper controller I've seen is the Little Step U which
    Parallax sells. The main web site for the product is here in New Zealand :

    and that has the best documentation. Just out of curiosity, why did you need a
    serial controller - are you driving a BUNCH of motors ?

    Thanks Bruce. Yes, I'm looking at controlling 10+ stepper motors at one
    time from a single stamp.

    It looks like this just might be the little jewel I'm after. I would've
    preferred a single chip solution, but beggars can't be choosers, now can
    they? [noparse]:)[/noparse]
