ADC to BSII

I have an ADC0831with Vref set at 2.55V outputting serially to a BSII.
Whatever input voltage I put on the ADC, I get a varying output to the
stamp, even though the Vref & Vin are rock steady. Has anyone ever seen this
sort of thing?

Check the Parallax Stamp manual 1.9, pages 357-359. I have used the
sample code from the manual without any problems.
Doublecheck the wiring on the 831. A varying output would normally
be caused by a floating input pin on the BS2 (no connection from the
831, pin 6) and make sure pin 3 (Vin-) is grounded.
Also, could you post the actual code you are using.
