I have encountered some problems about my basic stamp.I am doing a project
using bs2 to control the stepper motor. The problem is that I dont know how
to control the speed of the stepper motor. When I provide a frequency for it
ex freqout the stepper motor vibrate instead of moving. I have changed it to
a larger frequency but the motor has the same response! So can anyone help
me ? Thanks alot!!

You control the speed of a stepper by controlling the duration between steps.
·You can find software and explanation in the new StampWorks manual
    (available for download from Parallax).[/font]

The Stampmanual v. 1.9 can probably help you. Check pp. 103-104 of the
    application notes for an explanation.

There's a great tutorial on how to drive stepper motors with a BS2 here:

    http://www.seattlerobotics.org/encoder/may98/steppers.html

    This includes BS2 code...

Could you drop a capacitor on the output to smooth the votage?
