I am new to stamps. I have been reading messages in this group for
about three weeks. I believe you know what you are talking about when
it comes to Stamps. My problem is you are so far ahead in your
discussions that I find it hard to catch up on the technical end.

My question is: Are there any specific application notes or books
that suggest in detail how, for example, to program a robot (facing
North) to rotate CCW or CW to face South and then rotate CW to face
East using Stamp 2 logic? Or to make a robotic arm extend out to a
predetermined point and perform a function? Or how do you make a LCD
counter track the output of a shaft encoder programed to stop a motor
at a predetermined point? Thank you. Dave T.

Information of this sort would be advantagous to get a feel for how
to get started on a project using Stamps.

    Hi Dave -

Without getting into great detail, you may want to just browse through some of
the robot/robotics books which are available. You also may wish to browse
or obtain one of the many books which address programing the Stamp. Below
is a "short list" which is by NO MEANS complete of some of the web sites
    you may wish to check.
I have also included the names of some of the magazines which most feel are
worthwhile additions to their periodical stack.

There are also many university and educational sites that are far too
numerous to mention. These, and other such sites are best located through
use of various search engines: Google, Yahoo, Alta Vista, Deja News, etc.
