hardware not found????
I just recieved my bs1 rev.d and hooked everything up (cable,
battery, parallel 2,11,25 to programming input pins 1,2,3gnd on 3 pin
right angle header) ran the stamp 1 editor and tried out several
programs. I continually recieve 'hardware not found'. I have tried
various ground return lines on the parallel port, swapped cables,
ported directly to the user pins of the 14 pin interface(2,3,4) and
made various readings of stamp; all checks as it should. I have tried
it in purely dos environment,on two pc's (a pii and a 486), lpt
address 378, modes spp, ecp, epp.....I know I must be doing something
rediculous or maybe stamp is bad or pc port settings are incorrect?
please help me, I am not an animal I am a human being...

Try turning off all the special features of the parallel port (spp, ecp,
epp, etc). It shouldn't make a difference, but they're NOT needed.
What Version of DOS are you using ?
Stay cool - this isn't the first time Stamp setups have done this : )
