My Apologies to all, had my virus software down temporarily because it
clashed with another piece of software. Lesson learned. I received the
virus via an email attachment from osdsales@o... , I have
notified them. The virus was contained in a seperate email that
accompanied their legitimate email to me. The culprit email had no
subject, and I have learned that the virus has an attachment that takes
one of many different names. Virus name is w95mtx , there is a fix at
the symantec site, but the virus blocks you from getting to any
antivirus software site. I had a buddy download an automatic fix file
from Symantec. He put it on a floppy and it was specific for this
particular virus. I had to restore some windows system files and now
all is apparently well. The proceedure for restoration of windows
system files from cd or hard drive cab files is documented on the
Symantec site. Once again my apologies to all.
