Best development environment for Stamps?

Hi -
Wondering if there are some good alternatives to the stamp2.exe and
stamp2sx.exe editors, for creating larger and more complex programs? For
instance, a C compiler with optimization would be helpful. I've seen
references to QBasic and VB program snippets, but don't know how to get set
up with the necessary configurations for Stamp programming--plus would
prefer a C approach if available.
