Basic Stamps and Mac

I have just begun using a Basic Stamp II with my power mac (serial
port
not USB) and I am encountering some problems. I think I have sorted
out the initial issues with the cable (Din 8 Mac - DB9 on carrier
board), but I am still getting an "error - hardware not found"
message
when I run a test program in the editor. I am using Softwindows 2.0,
and have already checked things like the com port assignments (I am
using the printer port). Are there other mac users out there who may
have schematics for the cable, and other suggestions for getting this
to work?

\documentation\Basic_Stamps\BASIC_Stamp_2SX_Addendum_Manual_V1_0.pdf
page 5, on the Parallax CD Rom, if you use a BS2SX.
I lost about 4 hours before I found it.
Tip for Parallax: Please put a sticker on the manual!
