20ma Communications Loop

I have a piece of equipment that communicates through a 20ma loop
(four wires) with the following protocol:

ASCII characters
1200 baud
8 data bits
1 stop bit
no parity

Can anyone suggest an interface to the BSII such that I could receive
and transmit strings using SEROUT and SERIN?
