I built a motor speed controller
the bx-24 sends instructions to the pwm chip
I used com3 for that serial link
com1 is still available for download programs and monitor terminal
the simple program speeds up and slows down motor contiuously
I now believe the limitation on controlability is the inertia of speeding up
and slowing doen the prop
the simple program may help me evaluate various props and motors before
first flight
I added an extra resistor to clamp the input on the mosfet per Al Williams
suggestion - will update schematic soon
(I had a question on co-processor syntax - Al Williams was very nice and
helpful - I was trying to send "$21" when really I needed to send "&H21" - I
should have figured that one out - but a phone call to Al fixed the
problem)
later
