Pot Reading

I was wondering if i can possibly have a microcontroller (preferably
BS2) read a potentiometer and make descisions on that value. The project
this is going to be used for is the Jiffy robot which was written about in
Nuts and Volts July- August '00.

Any input would be appreciated.

Also I was thinking of using the PAK-VIII for this project, and I was
wondering if anyone has used it and would like to comment or criticize the
product please e-mail me. Also If anyone else knows of a product which can
accomplish the same effect (controlling servos w/out tying up the BS2) please
recommend one.

Thanx
Seth

You can use the RCTIME command to read a pot. Or, you could use the pot as a
variable voltage divider and use and ADC to read the wiper voltage.

I have not used the Pak-viii, but have used other Pak's. I can
tell you that all of Al Williams' products are an amazing deal; you can't
go wrong with their excellent performance.
I'm sure 99% of users would agree.

    Have a nice evening,
    Paul
