HI
Problem 1
I have loaded a program using the windows editor in to the Stamp. The
program mainly uses the serin command to select a pin and a position
( to control servo).
I have one of the leds connected to the basic stamp as well. I have
this on when the program is running.
I then go to run a VB program which is to provide the stamp with the
pin and postion, and nothing happens.
However i notice the light goes off.
Why is that?
Problem 2
I have a 9 pin computer cable when used to download to the basic
stamp works properly.
But when i used another cable using the following setup i get a
message to check power supply and connection. It is definetly not the
power supply as the other cable works fine.
BS Pin 1 TX Serial outputConnect to pin 2 of PC serial DB9 (RX) *
BS Pin 2 RX Serial input Connect to pin 3 of PC serial DB9 (TX) *
BS Pin 3 ATN Active-high reset Connect to pin 4 of PC serial DB9
(DTR) * - Also has a switch to use with programming in VB.
I have noticed that when the computer cable is used, that not only
does it accept the bs program, but it also receives the keystrokes on
the editor terminal window. i didn't think this could be possible
with the ATN line connected.
Any replies, or help.
