Stampers,
With all the talk at times abour car projects, I am sure somenw has
already used a stamp to count ignition pulses (as a tacho). I was
wondering how they went about interfacing to the points? How successful
was it?
Reason is I have been approched by a mech eng. to build a govenor
for a petrol engine on a peice of portable machinery, just a one off,
and I thought I could use a stamp, an SSC, and a servo to do the job
I used a Schmidt trigger signal conditioner that was then fed into a 555 timer
for doing cleanup on pulses used in industrial machinery. From that point I used
a TC9400(?) to then convert the frequency pulses into a voltage with a linear
math formula.
If you need any further information, please let me know.
