RE: [basicstamps] Parallax's Robotics manual related question
Thanks.
I guess I knew that the servos perform better at the unregulated 6v. Bub, did not know that it is done to avoid load on the regulator. What does the load on the regulator mean - just because it has so much more work to do ?
In my miniature robot, I'm using a 9v battery. I can't do a Vin on the servos. So, I'm using the regulated Vdd 5v. Since the servos on my project are those miniature ones from Cirrus, they seem to be happy with the 5v.

The cap keeps motor noise (from the servo) from upsetting the Stamp.· The
servo is connected to Vin (6 VDC) because it performs better at 6V and won't
put any load on the regulator.
Thanks.
