Adding clock to BSC2 ?

I see that I need to add real time to my project. What is a simple
way to get time interfaced with some allowance for short power off
situations?

Take a run over to the Dallas Semiconductor website: {www.dalsemi.com ] .
There are LOADS of serial and parallel timekeeprs. Many have backup cabilities.
Hope that helps.

to you too. Pretty easy to use -- I did a project of the month on them a
while back (gee whiz, how long have I been doing projects of the month?).
Has alarms and an alarm output.
If you need the capability to measure pulses, you can use a PAK-VII to keep
time, but it isn't ideal. But if you needed one anyway, it does work (see
our document library for an example). Also, if you really want to keep time
with a PAK-VII, consider replacing the ceramic resonator we supply with a
crystal. Otherwise, very small errors creep up on you over long periods of
time.

I am astonished that the states does not have transmitter for an atomic
clock?
Is this truth?
When I need the hour and the date in an application, I connect an atomic
module of reception little expensive (100FF = ~12$us).
I use BS2sx.
Look at ftp://mntnweb.com/parallaxstamp/ program name is dcf77net.bsx
or for info http://www.multimania.com/ripper/DCF77.htm

Not sure what answer you're seeking, but if you go to the Parallax website
[ www.parallaxinc.com ] and head for Documents, you can downlaod this
Applications Mod documentation "WWVB Atomic Time Clock Receiver (1 p.)"
which may help to answer your question.
There are numerous WWVB transmitters in the US and some folks can get
Canada as well. I'm sure one of the hams can offer the call sign and
frequency for the Canadian time transmitter.
Hope that helps.

Can you provide any other information in this DCF77 module?
Mabey a website or a source..
Thanks.
