I am considering designing a home security system.
What kind of sensors or available that will interface
with the BS2.

Basically I would like to use a sensor which is triggered when
someone approaches my house.

There are many types sensors for a security system. Motion sensors,
vibration sensors, contacts, pressure, etc. Almost without exception they
all use either normally open (NO) or Normally closed (NC) contacts. Either
is compatibile with a stamp.

Check vendors like Jameco and you will find a wide assortment of sensors.
