Download failures

Hello all! I was having problems earlier with my cable and power supply for
the OEM Stamp II. I now have figured out how to hook up power, and have the
right cable for the stamp, but I'm now having problems uploading data to the
stamp. I'm using the windows version of the Stamp 2 software, and am
running it under Windows 98. If I try to upload a blank program, it says
"Tokenize/Download Successful" at the bottom. If I try to upload an actual
program, I get the following: "Hardware communication failure! Check serial
cable and power supply!". Can someone let me know what I'm doing wrong?
I'm only trying to upload on of the sample programs provided by Parallax.

Same problem here. Although it did work for about 5 minutes then
decided to quit. I'm using the "Board of Education" board if that
makes any difference.
