Thanks for the offers for beta testers. I have enough now. I'll be sending
boards and books as I get checks. Don't forget to include an address to
send the boards to. Don't worry about shipping, as I've included that
already.

The goal is to evaluate the boards and books for middle to high school
students. When students build their boards, a teacher will be present. So
I will also develop a set of lesson plans to accompany the book. I also
plan to write a follow up booklet with additional sensors.

I make the PCBs myself at home. If you're interested in how I do this,
check the Circuit Cellar Inc. magazine for December, as they will publish my
article on making a PCB lab at home. I use Kepro products to make my PCBs.
You can check out their website at www.kepro.com. They're good people to
work with (I'm not an employee, just a satisfied customer). The PCBs are
very good quality, but single sided. By using my PCB set up you can do
double sided boards, but I haven't tried it yet.

Thanks goes to Bob Blick for the design of the H-Bridge. I encourage you to
check out his website at www.bobblick.com. He has lots of interesting
projects there (as do some people on this list).

When the beta testers test the boards, please make your comments public.
I'd like to show this process is on the up and up. After the beta testing
I'd like to make the boards and books available to others. However, I will
have to charge more than $15 at that point. Speaking of cost, I need to
determine the fair price for the PCB and book. I want to get a fair wage
for my time while keeping them as affordable as possible to students and
schools.

Finally, if you're in the Boise area and interested in setting up a robotics
competition, please contact me. I'd like to arrange a competition at the
mall and DCI for next year.
