How to send pulse...(urgent B2SX no good)

I got my Sat fedex delivery of BS2 SX chip, plug in my
BS2 super carrier board, but PC said "BS2 detected, but
com1 not working! check Power supply"
I immediately put my BS2-IC back to the board, and I can
download a LED blinking simple program, then I put the BS2 SX
back in, still same error as above.(Nothing else changed)
I have tried new 9V battery, also, AC adaptor of 600mA 9Volts,
I know BS2SX will take more current than BS2, but I can drive
BS2 with AC adaptor 100mA or 9V battery.
Please HELP me, is the BS2SX a direct replacement of BS2,
or do I get a Lemon BS2SX chip?!!!!!!

Are you using the windoze software, STAMPW.EXE? The most recent version is
1.096, and you must have at least version 1.091 for it to recognize the
BS2SX. Also, you must tell the software which stamp you are using. Rename
your program and use the .BSX extension instead of BS2, for all your BS2SX
programs. Once you name the program with a .BSX extension, the editor
should then target it correctly for the BS2sx and recognize when you have a
BS2SX connected.
Also go to Preferences in STAMPW.EXE, and choose the "editor operation"
tab, and then choose "BS2SX" from the pulldown menu of stamp types. That
setting applies to untitled programs, and to programs that do not have the
recognized extensions .bs2, .bsx or .bse.. The file name extension
overrides the setting in preferences/editor operation. You can have
windows for both bs2sx and bs2 stamps open in the editor. But if you have
the same program you want to run on both the BS2 and the BS2SX, you will
have to save two copies, one with each extension.
If you are using DOS software, you have to have STAMP2SX.EXE, instead of
STAMP2.EXE.
