Explaining all parts of the BASIC Stamp family now
It's' a good feeling for authors to get the opportunity for a 2nd
edition. Thanks for that goes to our readers.
We used the opportunity of this 2nd edition to include information
about the BS2sx, the newest member of the BASIC Stamp family. Based
on the new features of Scenix's SX microcontroller the BS2sx comes
with more performance and new instructions. The usage of the enhanced
memory and the runtime improvements is described in detail.
Some new software tools presented last years from PARALLAX and other
companies are described too. You will find the Windows based
development tool STAMPW also the emulator BS1EMU to see how BS1
works.
The application chapter has some changes. Additionally, you will find
an application of the scalable node address protocol S.N.A.P.,
examples of servo and stepper motor control, simple optical data
transmission etc.
