Hello

Was wondering on a project that I'm wanting to start How fast can the Stamp 2 count?
I'm wanting to put a sensor on a motor and RPM's could exceed 10k rpm's. Is the stamp capable
of reading a input that fast?

Thanks
Gene

    Sure. 10K RPM means a period of 60/10000= 0.006 s or 166.66 Hz.
BS2 count instruction can read period short as 0.000008 s or about 125
    KHz in frequency.

Hi Gene, remenber that you have to pass the tachometer output through a Flip-Flop if you're using a hall effect switch, and, Stamp 2 can detect pulses as short as 4 microseconds in lenght.
