Richard,
Some fine work with your "UAV" project! May I ask where you got your
GPS receiver?

it was $69 and works fine
simple wire antenna (4 inches long) works fine outside or in moving car -
however will not work indoors
I broke the antenna connector so I soldered small diam wire directly to
board.
I doubt if even an active antenna works indoors
thanks

I have a couple that I got out of surplus Hertz Neverlost units from
ebay. I connected them according to the article on interfacing GPS
receivers in the Dec. 1995 issue of Electronics World but they don't
seem to be able to receive anything. The outputs are all zeros with
no data! I have a Trimble unit and a Delorme Tripmate that works OK
and my antenna (an amplified Trimble) is good. Do Microtrackers just
die after a few years or do they need some special command to get the
receiver to work?
